Front Wiper arm replacement

Hi guys,

I've noticed my front driver's side wiper arm has some sort of clip which I think is supposed to hold the blade in position. Part of this clip appears to have snapped off and no longer holds the blade, causing the blade to lift from the screen whilst wiping.

Could anyone please check and see if theirs also has a clip attached to the arm? Its only the drivers side. I've never seen anything like it on my previous cars.

Is it straight forward to change the wiper arm on the X5?

Not sure on the clip as I've upgraded to the E70 version. However to change them is straight forward as the arm is just held in place by one nut at the base.

Would anybody local to me be interested in upgrading my wipers to E70?? I'm in Middlesbrough, Teesside.

I have said clip on driver side arm and rear arm.....and nearly snapped them off yesterday when t-cutting the bloom off the paint!
