Bosh battery

Post by Leeg » Thu Mar 03, 2016 9:10 am

hi, can anyone tell me if this is suitable for my e53
BOSCH S4 013
800 AMP
95AH

Been doing lots bits/pieces on car in last couple months but not much driving, (doors open starting stopping etc) disconnecting re connecting battery, current battery starts car ok but if leave doors boot open for 5/10 min it goes flat. Also noticed on the journeys I have done the clock has 00.00 every time I set off, and satnav keeps going back to split screen and prospective setting needs putting on again. I'm presuming battery needs changing from what I've read.

No.  Needs to be an 019 format.  At least 830CCA too.  95Ah is OK though.

Think I might just put it on and see how it goes, make sure I've got my booster pack in boot or my aa card in my wallet ha, will it cause any serious problems apart from electrical gremlins if any if it is incorrect for the car.

Try parts4less too.

Leave it in the basket and they send you a code for 7.5% off before the next day.

So S3, S4 or S5 will do. The numbers indicate how many years warranty you get.

Got my S5 from eurocarparts 2/3 years back for £84.

Sorry been away.  A Bosch S4013 (no gap) is an 019 format battery.

Bosch make S4 batteries in all models and the S4 013 (with a gap) is a different battery about 2/3rds the width and is called an S4002.  Confused?  Me too!
