Halos were from fleabay was a mix of cutting heating and gentle (loads of swearing) persuasion was just a case of tapping into the side light circuit

i cant remember whether the halos had an adaptor / box for the wiring or if that was just the hids

Cool, thanks will take a light unit out this afternoon and see if I can get apart, sounds like I'll have to hide the swear box from the other half for couple hours. Ha. Think I might just order from the link x5-D-sport kindly provided, as he said it looks like they come with transformers/ transistors what ever they are.

I have SMD led rings in my 53 pre facelift plate.
They are sodding bright....

Unfortunatley had to cut the fronts off as they are newer lights for some worrying reason (06 date stamp)...
Wired in place of the sidelights.

However you may need to check some things in the process...
Some systems are set up for PWM (Pulse width modulation) and may cause interference with the angel eyes..

I had this with my CCFL ones i first fitted and it cooked the invertors after a while...
Quick test would be to connect a normal 12v relay across the side light circuit and turn them on.
If you get a clean click then you should be OK

If like me you get an horrendous buzzing then you need to get into the LCM settings and turn PWM for sidelights OFF...

One other thing to note is that the dip and main beams can also have these settings, which is worth the same check before fitting HID kits....
If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)

Well took the headlight out and tried heating it and the STUPID F***ING  T***ING  B****ING  C***ING THING wouldn't come apart ha, so just considering buying the halo headlights, on the link provided on page one it states some wiring needed, has anyone installed them and if so how was fitting on scale of 1/10
