As per the title, my 2007 X5 seems to have an inital knock/clunk (from the rear i think) when a give the brakes a sharp dab, at low or high speed - normal braking is fine.
I tested the same thing on my wife x1 and it's not there.
searching for an answer seems to suggest brake pads moving, although I'm not convinced that's what it is.
Could it been worn bushes/suspension?
