Hi guys and girls 

I am a new forum member and hopefully new owner next week. You have a nice forum here with a lot of information about BMW X cars.

I have few questions. The X5 I am looking to buy next week is advertised as BMW X5 3.0 xDrive30d M Sport 2010.

Forgive the lame question, but what model that would be E70?

Also I have used the forum search function, but cannot find any list with X5 recalls, is there any place I can go and check that?

The X5 history is:-

E53 1999 - 2006

E70 2006 - 2013

F15 2013 - present

The car you are looking at is an E70.

For recalls you need to visit VOSA.  You need the build date - not the registration date of the car.  The build date is under the bonnet (month/year).

Note that this only covers safety recalls mandated by them and not 'Quality Enhancements' offered by BMW.  You will need the last 7 of the vehicle VIN characters (2 letters, 5 numbers) to get this from BMW.
