Hi Shreksta,

Im lucky, got a 2004  218  3.0D Sport facelift... and EVERY optional extra in the car too...
Black.. and Black Leather too...

suggest you try & get the D Sport version if possible, if youre hunting for a diesel, as the suspension is a little firmer... & a fee more options.

They are about, but just keep looking.
as far am I aware, the E53 facelifts are identical from 2004-2007... as all the parts for each gendre fit with that time frame.
The Facelift has an up to date look... but, you pays your money, you makes your choice I guess.

Hi StorminMike...
re bolt access for EGR removal....
obviously intake cover & engine cover to be removed 1st...

the air pipe input into the EGR unclips & can be filded out of the way.
THEN get a flannel or small rag & neetly fold & place under tge EGR unit... As I will guarantee you will drop a bolt & lose it otherwise...
the rag will catch the bolts.

access with a 1/4 drive socket set with a hex / allen head...
you may also need a small 1/4 flexi/universal joint in there too.
A 1/4 drive socket set can be bought from Ebay for about £12 & is excellent for all the little awkward access jobs on an X5.

the while job will take you under an hour, including removing the metal feed pipe & blanking it off at the manifold...

Hoep this helps.

PM me if you need any more info.

Sorry for the sluggish reply I lost the thread. I have 1/2 drive (or are they 3/8) allen sockets which are invaluable for doing the brakes but obviously too chunky for this job

I have some of these unused as of yet, reckon they#;ll fit or should I get some 1/4"?

Oh and some allen keys on a swiss army knife style thingy...but they may not break the initial bit?
