Noise

Post by cameronrobyn » Fri Feb 05, 2016 1:07 pm

Here is a strange one and I have thought about puting this on here.....

When I turn left there is a wop wop sound.  It happens only when I tun left, even a gentle turn.

I can live with the noise but just concerned if its a problem or not.

From what I can remember it started from when I changed the brake pads!

I initially thought it was the tyre, but have had these canged last week and the noise is still there.  Doesnt do it when I turn right.

Its like a wop wop silence, wop wop.  Silence is about 2 seconds!

No mickey taking please........ :P

Sounds like could be CV boot??

How loud is it??
If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)

Not very loud, but enough for me to hear it whilst driving at 40 mph, hard to describe.  Having your radio on volume just enough to ear it in the car.

Mmmm

I also had a similar noise with a CV boot flopping about...

I think youre gonna have to brave the weather, get a drenching & have to climb inder the car & take a peep... as every thing else is guess work, conjecture & procrastination.

You could always wizz to a Kwik-Fit for a check & quotation for work... at least you will be able to see under the car & get an idea whats wrong ??

Yeh but make sure they 'only' check what you ask for!!! And not recommend 50 other potential faults ! sister inlaw took car in for oil change years back, reported radiator leak, brought car to me to check no leak??? When they drove on to ramp braked water the surged out of 'overflow' pipe.Just sayin

Check your wheel polts.  :))

Have seen cases where guys think they have real big issues and the solution is that wheel polts were losen.

when you changed pads then it might be easy as that.
