Its cant get worse than this ,it seems in desperation the BBC are trying anything to prop up the show.
Ive watched TG for as long as I can remember but have been accustomed to the trio and their antics I will watch them on Amazon prime instead of the new TG

He's as dull as ditch water when he's himself. Can't see it working.

Car crash ! He can play Joey and that's it, seen him in another film, and I agree Topgear is doomed without the previos three presenters.
I like Chris Evans on the radio and TFI Friday, but he's in for a fall on this one.
It will be another 5th gear but on the Beeb.

I think the BBC need to understand Top Gear is dead.

It needs to be walked to the back of the cutting floor room and left on the floor.

Chris Evans is a twat, MLB is no better and I really don't know what it's got going for it.

I bet JC and his chums can't stop laughing  :))

The BBC looked on Topgear as a very profitable brand. As they own the name and the rights they thought it was a sure fire money earner. As we all know it was not a car show as  much as a like minded comedy show for petrol heads.
Just watching the adverts from JC for the start of their new show was making me want to subscribe to Amazon tv.
I'm sure the BBC will regret ditching JC. But in this PC world they had no choice.

It's not 'PC', it comes under bullying and harassment legislation.  He was lucky not to have been charged with common assault.  If one of my team ever pulled a stunt like that they would have been 'let go' too.

Agreed. And wouldn't be making light of it whilst promoting their new employer either!

I'm keeping an open mind until I've watched a couple of episodes, hopefully they'll not try and replicate the JC RH and JM antics and come up with their own style, but I fear that the BBC will mandate a copy of what worked well with JC, RH and JM.

I think the new Amazon show could end up being a little to ridiculous if they're not careful.

If the Amazon show is essentially Top Gear of old I'm really not sure how it will go?

Do people want 'old' or 'new'?

Seems like they are writing there future , the writers are leBlanc as well as the presenters .
Is it just me or is Chris Evans Crap ?
I put forward three new presenters
          Kirsty Gallagher
          Katy Perry
            Rita Ora
The viewing figures would go up whatever they were driving !
Which 3 would you pick ?

I think Evans is a very good choice.  He has proved himself very talented with fresh ideas, (TFI Friday, The Big Breakfast and an entertaining radio 2 program). The old TG was just that Old, same ideas reinvented year after year.  There was a time I couldn't wait to see the new TG but these last few years have been mostly dissappointing with a few enjoyable moments.

MLB is an internationally recognized face that may help commercially but like most I'm not sure how he will fit.

Only time will tell

I think we should put 535dboy forward.  Irreverent, not-PC, blunt, but knows a thing or two about cars.  :)) >:D

OK, maybe the edit is possibly a wee bit more accurate, but it's a tad harsh....... O:-)  :P
