LED interior light replacement.

Hi all,

Looking to replace all my interior bulbs with LED's and, having done a little search, people seem to have had more bother with this job than I thought !

Ebay is littered with kits like this :

To avoid any problems, if anyone has done this recently and can recommend where to buy the lights from it would be much appreciated.

Car is a 2003 4.4i pre-facelift btw.

I went the other way with the interior bulbs, and bought the ORANGE /AMBER bulbs.... gives a nice orange warm glow to the interior & is not so dazzling at night...
Just a thought any way...

The issue with LED's for interior bulbs, is that there is a delay timer that uses all sorts of sensing parameters for the dimming/switch off delay.
The LED's draw significantly less power/current than the bulbs... where as the bulbs are a 5 watt bulb, the LED's draw bugger all, and cock-up the cars' calculations for the delay timer.

Personally speaking... the system works currently - why mess it up ?
If you want a different interior light colour, simply buy pre-coloured bulbs & don't re-invent the wheel.
