Best place to buy transmission oil and filter from???
I have a 2006 x5 3.0d lemans and I'm wanting to change the gearbox oil and filter where is the best place
I've been quoted £217 from europarts for 9ltr of oil and new filter is this about right? Or expensive?

That sounds a lot
I had my X3 3.0sd gearbox oil changed and that cost me £216 (no filter done) but that was done for me.
Have you seen this deal on eBay?

Try calling the dealers for a price to just give a comparison. The gearbox oil is expensive tbh.

Spoke to dealers
£22+vat for oil
£64.59+vat for filter
BMW are telling me I need 10ltrs is this correct because that will be £220+vat just for oil

I got 15ltrs of Comma MVatf plus and a filter from motor parts direct for £110. No probs.

I dont know- visit the Comma website and check compatability. They give a 100% compatability guarantee i think.

I just had a look and 2 3.0 ds are listed but it seems to be the same fluid as what I had.

have you tried opie oils? usually gives discount to car forums aswell
