Collected our first X5 today :-)

Hi folks,

Been lurking about for a few months and thanks to this forum found a stunning low mileage 2001 4.4i Sport which my wife and I travelled 250 miles to collect today from Baz (forum name Sapphire Black). We are over the moon, the 250 mile drive home was a dream, can't wait to drive it more! 

Hoping to be an active member of the forum and that I can be of some assistance to fellow members...

I've not got many decent pics to share at the mo but will add some when I can.

He pulled it off the market in October but I contacted him a couple of weeks ago to see what he was up to, he's got himself a peachy 630i which he hasn't been using coz the X5 was in the way. Once I saw it I fell in love and the rest as they say is history...

Nice one, that's a long journey for a car! Glad it went well, nothing worse than travelling and having to walk away.

Thanks WJB, it was a fair run out but I do a lot of miles with work so it doesn't feel so bad. The last car we bought was a similar distance away, as I see it I'd rather travel for the right car than just accept the best of whatever is near
