Central locking
Car has just stopped working central locking on key fob but works if I put key in lock and turn it could it be a fuse ??? Or something else

If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....

Had same problem last year checked all fuses, code read nothing came up, ordered new key from BMW now alls working as should be, and the keys are only £138 :-[

-+1 on that. Car can forget the key. Happened to en once in an extreme batt down situ. Just follow the process to remind car of key.

The key fob contains a rechargeable button cell the holder of which is soldered to the internal PCB - inevitably it eventually fails. You can get a repair kit off ebay for about £15 comprising a case, new rechargeable cell - and three new button microswitches. To access the PCB from the old key you need to carefully cut through the grooved seam that runs around the plastic body of the fob (the body is not intended by BMW ever to be opened !) . Use a craft knife with just a few ml blade exposed to do this so as to avoid damaging the PCB. Refitting the new battery and microswitches (if you choose) involves a little careful soldering with a 25 watt iron and some fine core solder. Depending on the kit supplier the new case either glues of simply snaps together. You also get a new key blade blank which a local key cutter can copy your original onto - worth doing in case the charging inductor function of the old blade is also U/S
