Will F15 wheels fit the E70?

Post by Riggie » Wed Jan 13, 2016 3:41 pm

Does anyone have experience of having fitted a set if F15 wheels on an E70? The offsets are slightly different. I have spoken to an alloy wheel dealer who assures me that the F15 wheels will fit.

Any direct experience please?

Its a 2009 35d se, with sports suspension. The wheels available are 19" 467 M staggered, or 469M 20" staggered. Car currently has 20" staggered Y alloys.

Thanks, I like the 469s as well, but hoping the ride may be a little less hard !

I have Pirelli P-Zero RFT. Much better ride than the Bridgestone RFT.

hi the se version runs a different offset to the Msport , has yours got arch extensions ? usually the se version has rear et of 53 fronts are et48 , msport is et 21 or 19 rear fronts are et48 . just means that the offset will push the wheels out of the arch hence why rear arch extensions will be needed otherwise it will be a fail on the MOT for breaching the original width of the car . I think the F15 have a et35 fronts rear et18 so quite a difference although the centre bores are the same at 74.1 . Just be careful that you don't buy X5M wheels as like the X6 the have a staggered centre bore aswell fronts are 74.1 but rears are 72.6 so you would need the rears bored out to match .

Offsets are ET40 FRONT & ET37 REAR.

I have a X5 M Sport, but even with fender flares I have to run 12mm spacers on the front, and 25mm spacers on the rear to be flush. I guess its worth mentioning my X5 is lowered, alot :)

Mine does have arch extensions and I'm really pleased by the way they look after thinking they might look a bit lost. Another set of 20" Y spokes soon to be for sale !

I had spacers on mine , read an article about spacers and insurers not paying out due to none standard car ! contacted insurance , they said that car was not covered due to alterations & they wouldn't cover the car even if I had told them . Had to put original wheels back on as not many insurance companies will cover you maybe worth contacting yours if you have them on or are going to put them on .

I notified my insurance company this morning of the change from 20 to 19. They see that as a downgrade and no additional premium is due.

I have insurance with A-Plan and I only pay extra after 4 modifications. I have about 10 modifications on the car, far from any ordinary X5 ;)
