Hi All,
First time posting here.....hope everyone is enjoying their wonderful BMW's. And thanks for all the very useful info provided in this forum.
I'm currently in the buying process for a new BMW X3, and have been considering a used F25 30D or 35D M Sport. Recently a dealership in the UK just got in an extremely well optioned X3 35D M Sport -- the only thing it not really having that I would like is VDC. The colour combination is basically perfect for me, and its almost as if I would have built the car myself. The original price was £53K, was registered in April and now they want £38.9K for it. It has done 9300 miles so far.
I think its a fairly good deal....but would be highly interested to know whether you think this is a good price. I'd also be interested to hear opinions on buying an ex-demo car (9300 miles seems quite high to me for only being a demo car). The car is warrantied until April 2018, so should anything go wrong, I should at least be okay for the next couple years. And there is no way I could afford the new 2015 Facelift model otherwise. I am a little concerned about 20" tires, but have done my research and the reports on ride quality are generally good. I also am coming from a 335D M Sport Estate with low-profile 19" run flats, so am hoping this is about the same.
Finally, what price is realistic to negotiate? I imagine at this price they will not have a problem selling it, so perhaps £500 discount or so?
Thanks so much for the feedback, and hope to join the community of X3 drivers soon!
Have a good evening,
Jason

Hi and welcome Jason.
Good luck with the purchase, as for best price I would expect to get £1000 off the car but that's depends on how much you're prepared to play hardball.

Re: 2015 X3 35D Demo M Sport Car Purchase?
Hi All,
Just thought I would update everyone that emotion somewhat took over since the car was such an ideal match for me, and I only was able to negotiate £250 off. I suppose the dealer held most of the cars since they just got in the vehicle this week, and were willing to wait for a better offer. But I did opt to take out the minimum finance package that qualified for another £750/off, so in the end it was a full £1000 off list.
All in all, I'm happy and can't wait to pick her up next week. The car is in N.Ireland, so should be a great drive back down to London.
Cheers all and happy driving.

A very similar story to me. Ex demo 3.0 M Sport lci with only 3550 miles. I managed to negotiate a £700 discount and used the savings to buy the 5 year maintenance package. The warranty is the remainder of 3 years and takes me up until Oct 2017.
Look forward to seeing you around London, come say hello

Funnily enough mine is also an ex-demo m sport.
When the BMW website had the ratings on it, mine was fully optioned up including 5 years servicing etc.
Like you, I was missing the VDC, and that is the one thing I miss, apart from LED lights, the standard Halogen ones are truly dread.

I actually didn't know the car had xenons until i rocked up to the dealership, so in my eyes a freebie
