Heater blower doesnt turn off

Battery went flat while out today..........jump started car and found heater blower on constantly.........removed a large 50 amp fuse to stop blower ........any ideas please  2004 facelift 4.4

Sounds like the final stage resister. FSR. AKA Hedgehog it controls the variable speeds of the heater fan motor. Do a search on the forum, very common problem, bit tricky to change . Dealer or Andrew page
It lives in the footwell/ heater ducting.
