Happy to post this for a nominal fee to anybody who's keen to play around with the IBUS.

Bought from here

I used this to diagnose and fix the auxiliary heater.

Seller's description:
This Interface enables you to connect any device that has a RS232 serial or USB port to the entertainment system of your BMW.
Current: BMW 640i Convertible (320PS)
             Audi A7 Sportback 3.0 T FSI quattro (300 PS) SE STronic  8)

Is this the USB one, or the DB9 RS232 connection??
