I have 2004 X5 E53 3.0 d sport - can I remove the air vents on the dash easily for cleaning ?

Special tool known as release hook , when inserted and twisted it releases the tabs holding the fresh air grill in place.

Not sure if these can be purchased from dealer.

They look useful. Can never have too many tools. Will ask my contact at the dealer if they can be bought.
