Glad to hear it's been resolved to your satisfaction.

Shame you had to complain for the dealer to rectify such a major issue on a purchase of that value.

In my opinion though they should have noticed the paintwork defect and rectified it before supplying, or attempting to supply, to you, and if it were me, I'd be tempted to complain to BMW UK.

I have an E70 35d and was toying with the idea of downsizing to an X1. Can you give a comparison of the two?

Not much point in my experience. I went to BMW UK after a problem with a car and no joy from the dealer. BMW UK passed me on to the customer services of the supplying dealer. Ie, those idiots that had fodded me off in the first place.

Well it's home in my garage lovely car feels like a car bigger than its size car is very keen to pull and I had no bother getting 55mpg on the 100 mile run around comfort opening and tech pack are very good wish I had our pro nav on but where do you stop

I do like to look of this new X1. Although smaller than the current X5 by some way it still seems to have more than enough room for most. Enjoy.
