Newbie to site

Hi,

Just a quick message to say new to the site and just bought an X4 3.0d msport, this is my first BMW and the best car I've ever owned. As I needed the car quite quickly I bought a new stock vehicle so only option it came with was the privacy glass.

A couple of things I really miss is the digital display for my speed and speed camera notification. Is there anything anyone can suggest as an alternative it would be much appreciated.

I don't think you'll get speed cameras as there are no 'modified' databases that I know of for the iDrive hard drive based systems.

I use a Garmin Nüvi 3598 which I have spare and pay £16 a year for the database.

There are ways of coding a digital readout into the centre cluster but it's not for the faint hearted as you can brick parts of the system accidentally.  Whether the ICarly app and device supports the X4 I don't know, but it might give you an option without breaking into the main codebase to alter the programming.
