Ordered car has arrived in uk might be ready in the next week but more likely mid December but would it be better if I waited until January 2016 to have it registered and taxed?

March and September for new reg numbers I believe so yes, December to Jan makes no difference.

Yeah same here, waiting will be torture with little or no benefit when you come to sell. Pick up your new pride and joy at the earliest opportunity and enjoy.

Looks like the vote is for early collection need to confirm date with stealer when car gets delivered to them.
