Angel eye bulbs?

Post by sapphireblack » Tue Nov 24, 2015 3:59 pm

OK guys i'm not here much at all nowadays but i'd like some recommendations on which brands/suppliers for bulbs.

I still have the old X5 but the new (to me) 6er needs some refreshing including an angle eye brightness upgrade.

IIRC there used to be a specialist seller of such items heavily endorsed by many owners too but i don't recall who that was.

Any pointers would be much appreciated  :)

HIDS  Direct and Hids4u were the most used suppliers for HIDS and LED bulbs, just fitted the 80w side marker LEDs into my 3 series, inner rings are brighter but that's just the nature of the beast, miles better than the yellow  halogen ones though.
Hopefully you've got Xenons, or the marker lights could be a nightmare to fit, like on the E70 halogen spec lights.

Thanks for that its easy to remember once reminded. Yes the 6er has bi Xenons so should be a straight upgrade to white angels.

I wasn't aware anyone would have any desire for 6 series images on an X forum  ::)

Weather permitting i'll take and post some over the weekend  :)

If you start a new thread with some images and experience of the car, that is of interest to most I would say.

If you post them here please.
