Sometimes whilst changing hardware these problems come up as software and settings are stored in more than one module. I find it in my job whilst changing PCB's you have to re flash the software after hardware changes. You probably need to get the latest firmware CD for the satnav V32 ? To re flash the car .
Only guessing really, sure someone will have the answer ( cue X5Sport

Not seen this before, but it does sound like you need to get the BMW firmware update disk, or find someone with one.  It only takes a few minutes to do - less than 10 typically.  You replace the Nav DVD with the firmware CD and let it run.

You can create your own but run the risk of 'bricking' the Nav computer.  Dealers sell them for about £15 I think.  You might even sweet talk a dealer into letting you borrow theirs in the car park.  :)

.......even a 'guru' makes guesses... :-[
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
