battery

Post by themoog » Sat Oct 31, 2015 5:44 am

Would you believe it.. The wife was due a manicure and pedicure yesterday at 11am. 10:50am her E53 wouldn't start. Click click. Panic ensued.
So she took my X5.
Anyway, only 9v on the unloaded battery. Quick call to my mate at Gemtech and new battery on its way. I found the receipt for the old one and it was from 2007 so it had a good run. There were no sluggish starting or lights on the dash- just one day ok, the next dead. It did start after I had charged it tho' and I have it in the garage as I want to see if I can get a bit of life back in it. The battery on mine will probably die next week..
Her nails look nice.

Funny how they suddenly go.  Sounds like an internal short and 7 years is pretty good.  Pain in the butt timing wise though  >:(
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

Mine did just that last year, all fine one day, totally dead the next.  Although it was the original BMW battery from 2005 so I guess I can live with that :-)
