screen sat nav

ok doing my head in now!!

my screen flickers and go's off for long periods.
someone said my tv module is the cause of that??

mk4 sat nav is buggered.  disc i/o error and now saying no disc present.

screen go's off even when sat nav is unplugged.

car is e53 2005 so ive read that it has a digital tuner.
also read its not worth having the digital as its crap anyway.
looked at second hand ones on ebay. couple hundred quid.
so can i buy an analogue tuner and whack that in to stop screen flicker??
will the plugs be the same.

It's a straight swap out, but beware that many in fleabay are non-functioning too.

Had this problem with my 2004 X5, bought an exchange digital TV tuner from
http://www.carphonics.co.uk/
Sorted my problem after trying new DVD drive and another screen.
Contact name is Baris, lots about Carphonics on M3 Cutters forum
