Hi to All
After four years with a RRS 2.7 HSE I am picking up an E70 3.0d SE with M Sport steering wheel etc. I am looking forward to a much improved driving experience and hopefully less expensive 4 x 4 ownership.
I have loved owning the RRS but the last straw was a new radiator, water pump and associated pipes at the last service at £1500. This had been preceeded by a new torque converter at £800, two EGRs a new suspension pump, both front lower arms and they are only in the last 18 months.....
I can say that the RRS is a great car when it runs smoothly but deep pockets are required to keep it that way.
Having now driven Q7, X5 ML350's in my search for a replacement I was very impressed with the X5 drive. I have seen other posts with people debating merits of RRS v X5 and hope that the majority on this site are correct and I am making a good choice.
I have read many posts on this forum which have been a great help making my choice and say thanks to all, and I hope not to be bothering you all with problems in future.
Cheers
Steve

Hi and welcome,
Interesting about your RRS experience especially with the X5 and RRS thread running, sorry it wasn't the best experience.
I know from brother in laws 2007 RRS and myE53 X5 that the X5 drove better butwhen he got a ne model that
Is impressive.
Anyhow enjoy your E70 and look for to hearing more about it
Graeme
