E53/2001 4.4 sport with 4.6 additions.

So the time really has come to part with my trusty steed of eight years and much fun in that time, but it is now time for a change

This was a BMW Park Lane demonstrator originally and has a ridiculously high spec including electric rear seat adjustment, and way to much to list in detail here. Suffice it to say everything is electric and aside from the drivers heated seat works as it should. It even has a triple function programmable garage door remote in the roof panel

In addition to the exterior 4.6 cosmetics it has a hybrid digital TV tuner, voice control bluetooth and a MK4 Sat-Nav as upgrades. It has a facelift steering wheel/airbag for its fresher look. It has full main dealer service history, two service lights on and has just reached 80K. It has an MOT until next February, good rubber and earlier this year had a cool £2K spent on two new door mirrors (power folding) and some rear suspension work. It has literally never wanted for anything in my ownership.

It has a few body blemishes but it is now approaching fifteen years old, though to drive it you'd never know.

I'm looking for a firm £4K or will PX it and remove some of the upgraded equipment for separate sale. I'm located near to Tunbridge Wells in Kent but just on the East Sussex borders.

What does the underside , subframes , brake pipes etc look like for tinworm . any chance of pics .
It`s a long way to go for a look so your assurance would make life easier .

Can the face lift steering wheel be retro fitted to a pre face lift model then???

That's interesting - I assume its a straight swap and there are no errors on the dash due to a different type of airbag being fitted in place of the earlier "round" airbag?

The facelift steering wheel and airbag are a straight swap, no issues at all.

I expressed interest on behalf of the family who regularly want to borrow my X5 which is the same as yours and slightly newer with similar mileage . I don`t use it often .  I do not allow them to borrow it , well except for the Lady wife and only if other options not available .
I thought I should buy your X5 as a spare car they could all make use of but alas they tell me they would prefer something new or nearly new .

And anyway it`s your own fault for posting a pic of the newer X5 you are buying , or maybe it`s actually my fault for scrolling to the pic of your new car but anyway they viewed that pic and said they would rather have one of those so there you have it .

Your E53 will be a good car for someone .

An update for those that expressed an interest. The vehicle i was after is no longer an option so i'm afraid my sale is suspended for at least a few weeks until i source another
