Boot liner
Boot liner
Can anyone recommend a boot liner. There seem to be loads available but it's hard to tell what they're really like from pictures.
Is it worth getting the BMW one and what's the cheapest price?
I'm not quite sure whether I would want one just to cover the boot with the seats up or one that covers the back of the seats when down too but probably the former as think I will be getting a tow bar and tow bar mounted rack for the bikes.
Basically I want something that protects well, is easily cleaned if muddy boots and outdoor gear is chucked on it and fits and looks good - a quality item.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Bootl liner
I have the BMW load liner and it is great. Easy to clean and very durable. I got mine for when the dogs jump in after a dirty walk on the beach etc. The fit is perfect but the only downside is that the lip is only about 1-2" high.

Re: Bootl liner
+1 for the BMW Floor protector - works with seats up. Good thick rubber. Can't remember what I paid exactly, but it was around the £40 mark I think.
BMW do make the accessory below - at a price of course!! Protects the boot floor area and sides - but ouch pricewise as it looks to be £100+ !!

You might find something in a motor factors. I'm sure I've seen these sort of things in larger Halfords but never seen one outside it's box/bag so can't comment on quality.

+1 on BMW boot liner, think I paid around £45. It depends how good a look your after, if its a neat finish then OEM is the way to go.

Re: Bootl liner
Got mine from eBay (tow equippe) as good as the oem for less than 1/2 the price
Re: Bootl liner
The tow equippe one was one I was considering. Can it be hosed off? The full boot liner might be attractive but only really necessary if I decide to carry my mountain bike inside. Also, the diagram doesn't give any idea of the material. It needs to be easy clean.
Thanks for all the responses though. I was pleasently surprised to find so many!

Yes it can be hosed down no problem

Re: Boot liner
Thanks, I should have looked at the listing more carefully as it shows it being hosed down, sorry. I'll probably go for that one unless I can get more information and a better price or cheaper but good quality alternative to the BMW full boot liner. I just need to consider whether I'm going to be happy to put my new mountain bike build outside the car on a towbar rack or not as it will be a little bit special.

+3 for the bmw floor protector, but things do tend to slide around on it more than the carpet!

Re: Boot liner
Thanks, looks good. I think I'll get one and then also get a length of rubber to tuck under the outside edge and flip over the tailgate as checking mine out today there's hardly a scratch on it and I'd like to keep it that way. The Towequipe one does look good too but hard too.
