Screen has gone black

Hi guys.

I'm a bit worried my main display that does the satnav and TV had gone black, it does power up as the PCs goes darker but no display. Every now and then the menu flashes on for a split second. When the fault occurred this morning it faded to black has anybody had this.

It has now come back but the television option is completely missing and it has rearranged the menus ???

Sometimes this happens when the battery plays up.  Have also had it happen when a module fails like the satnav or cd player etc - I got that strange menu when the sat nav failed in my X. 

I would try to reset the battery first-disconnect it and leave it off for a minute or two then reconnect.  That resets lots of strange faults.
If that fails try hooking the car up to a scanner, you may get info on a faulty module.
