Post by Sustanon250 » Thu Sep 17, 2015 4:08 pm

Anyone here had a go in an M135 (or 235) ?

I've had a few drives now and have to say , what a cracking motor !!! Great fun and pretty rapid too !

My mother (at almost 70!) just bought a new one and I gave it a detail using using Gtechniq C1 and C2

Hi

They are as I have the earlier 135i convertible with slightly less power but still a rapid car with twin turbos so the M135 is even quicker and well balanced.

When I compared specs the 135 was quicker than the 2003 Porsche Carrera 4 i was also looking at and less money and only £300 to insure it  :)
Now: E70 X5 in Blue, 3 Minis Cooper S R53, JCW R56 & Cooper S Roadster R59 :drive:

Prev: Abarth 595C & 500C, E53 X5 4.4i, E88 135i M Sport, Audi TT Mk1 V6, 3 Smarts, 8 Vauxhalls, 4 Fords, 2 Triumphs, 1 Mini & Bikes

I have an m225i it's one of the best cars I've driven best bang for your buck easily quick enough only half a second behind the m3 and m4, had mine 18 months and had no problems used a bit of oil at the start but is a really involving drive. The traction control system is brilliant and allows you to have fun without throwing it in a hedge. Brakes are awesome and the engine and exhaust note really finishes the car off, not amazing on fuel but get about 21-22 mpg around town and about 36-38 mph on a run.ImageImage

She's always had nice cars but nothing quite like the 135 !

I think i might buy her a TMC tuning box for xmas which ups the power to around 375 bhp  and means I'll struggle to keep up in my X6!!!!

Get a proper remap rather than a box.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

I've done a hell of a lot of research mate and the conclusion I've come up with is that some of these modern tuning boxes can be as good as a proper remap whislt leaving you with a fighting chance of retaining full warranty  ;)

TMC and BMS tuning boxes are awesome on these motors

This is true. I did alot of research for my 335i. Went with bms jb4. Another source with excellent reviews is the mhd android flash. Both put on an awesome amount of power for very little outlay.
The jb4 allows me to control which tune stage i want directly from the steering wheel.
