Dog guard...

Post by BrettMRC » Thu Sep 17, 2015 11:10 am

Trying to spec up a new 40e and it seems that the load cover-cum-dog guard thing is no available.

Does anyone know if there is an option/add on that allows you to divide the front seats from the passenger compartment when the rear seats are folded flat?  (Have it on the 5 series and it's brilliant)

If there is no way of keeping the dogs out of the front then a new X5 is out of the window :(
(2x Alasation, so need to have the rear seats down 99% of the time)

Any help or pointers greatly appreciated :)

Hi and welcome,

A little search on google images hasn't shown an OEM dog guard designed for when the rear seat backs are down, but there are universal kits that use telescopic legs to allow fitting where ever you want.

Hi,

I know what you mean, but I am not sure I have ever seen one of these for any version of the X5.
Before you reject the X5, and its just a suggestion, how about this................

Nat, the Anchor Points are in the E53 for sure in order to move the cage forward if you have the seats down.
