Just a heads up for anyone wanting a set of roof bars. These thule ones sit low, don't look too out of place and are quiet. I use a roofbox quite a bit and have been watching these on amazon for a while, they have dropped the price from over £265 to £149.

I have them on my X6. Very quiet. You do have to be careful when the roof box is also on as it makes contact with the sunroof on 'tilt'. I think the roof box I have is the same as in the pic.
Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

I have the similar Wispbars fitted. I have the ones that don't protrude over the side like the Thules above.
They are so good, I simply leave them on permanently. The efffect on mpg/windnoise is negligible.
