Hello

Post by Insight G40 » Sat Aug 29, 2015 11:15 pm

Well I've been lurking around on here for a few months now so thought I'd introduce myself.

Bought a late 56 reg E53 3.0D Sport in May after nearly 20 years driving modified VW's, mostly highly tuned supercharged Polos.

This is my first BMW and only my second 'grown up' car the first being an 05 Passat estate, and I have to say I'm completely smitten, the engineering and build quality is excellent.
I'm amazed how much of a drivers car it is despite weighing over two tonnes.

Not got any real plans to modify it,  but already made a couple of OEM additions in the form of boot liner and rubber mates, oh and a set of Style 57's with winter tyres.

Hi and welcome.

I see you are the shy and retiring type judging by the subtle colour of your Polo.  ;)

Enjoy the X

Welcome Rob.

To anyone who Rob buys spares/accessories from you will have no problems. Honest, pays quickly and decisive.  How do I know. The rubber mats used to be mine.

Enjoy your X. They are great cars. I've had 3 although the new Range Rover Supercharged is another story.

Hi Rob, welcome to the forum.
The X5 is s good choice, great drive and very capable for it's size. I have to say I do love the Polo; got a fondness for them as it was the first car I had from new, and the colour of that one is fab, like something the Crazy Frog would have!
