clutch delay valve

Post by cragglemiester » Thu Aug 06, 2015 9:59 am

Having not had my X too long ( 1.5 weeks :-[) this CDV is new to me and im driving like a noob jerking in 1st and 2nd.
Ive heard you can remove it? any pros / cons to this?
or is it a case of getting used to it?

Thanks

no one else have the same issues or attempted to tackle them before. appreciate its a manual specific thing but apparently is present on other models not just the x series.,

Nor me (until now) but it exists!  BMW's way of slowing clutch re-engagement on manual vehicles.  Apparently we're not good enough to do it ourselves!!

Lol

My last manual E39 525tds touring had a wierd clutch, so I suppose that's why they fiddled with them!!!
