Warranty Advice.

Post by squeaky2 » Wed Aug 05, 2015 4:21 pm

Hi All.......warranty time again and BMW have now quoted £1066 for named component and £1350 for fully comp.

Considering the car is now nearly 7 years old and on 63,000miles is it worth it or will BMW use the wear and tear argument for failures.

Im only concerned as the car has the electronic dampers or am i best just sticking the money in the bank and hoping that nothing goes wrong.  We are only doing about 7000 miles a year.

Any views on 3rd party warranties?

Id like an F10 530d touring but hey thats another story  ;)

Warranty is well worth the money my x5 35d sport went to the dealership with dpf issue . My car is 09 with 90k on the clock they ring me after an hour and explained I needed a new dpf as it was heavily clogged and the could not force a regen . The dealership replaced the dpf replaced three glow plugs and replaced the glow plug control unit all under warranty

HI,
I think that is not a bad deal considering age and mileage of your car,
I have just payed £990 full comp with £100 excess for my 2012 x5.
