Driving in France

Here's another requirement: if you wear specs, you have to carry a spare pair of current prescription in the car. Mine are sunspecs to help with the driving..

Giving it try this year,so should save 'find the euros' toll stress - or worse 'I dropped the coin(s) and it rolled under the car and there's a massive queue and they are all gesticulating'

Have been using saneftolling for a couple of years now.  Works really well as lots of the French still use cash and cards at the tolls and there are now more 30km/h drive through lanes

You get billed after the event and the rate isnt too bad either

if your 2008 your an e70.  Supposedly its a trip to BMW for the lights.  Ive never bothered.

Not sure about all the insurances.

Youll now be too late for the sanef thing i think.

Take plenty of food and water with you as the Eurotunnel is a mess and the french farmers are randomly blocking the autoroutes in protest too at the moment

From memory the e53 had a lever to change the direction of the lights but it was a bugger.....  you need to weigh up how much night driving you actually think youll be doing on motorways.

We are just going for 4 days. I wont be doing any night driving at all
