Deal agreed on 'new' X5

Post by Shez1878 » Tue Jul 14, 2015 11:08 pm

So pick up new (to me) X5 on Thursday after being messed about by a number of other sellers.

I just don't understand cretins who make you travel hundreds of miles to see cars described as 'immaculate' when they are absolute crap.

There's one on eBay right now. Beautiful carbon black - 2008 - with new 2014 diamond cut alloys. I spent THREE days talking to guy, requested numerous photos, HPI check etc. Turned up on Friday only to find scratches on exterior, interior, air vents broken, and the stereo had been removed and put back badly - very badly. Cue denial from seller that stereo had ever been taken out....the gaping gap was a figment of my imagination!!

In the end got fed up and bought an X5 I never thought I would......a SILVER one!!

It's 2008, 85k on clock, 3.0D SE with aero kit, heated seats, freeview TV, SatNav, upgraded sound system, DVD player in the back and absolutely IMMACULATE!!! Literally looks and feels like it's done no more than 30k!

Getting a reverse parking camera fitted for £650!

Wish me luck! [emoji3]

Cheers mate. Must admit I bought the car as the deal was too good to turn down. It drove like an absolute beast on the way back from Brighton.

Once I got back to Solihull I stopped at a zebra crossing and a complete random gave me the thumbs up and shouted 'Top motor son!'

Mmhhhh....has to be the body kit....!!
