Aux fan running if!!!!
Aux fan running if!!!!
Just one more question before I have to take it in to a garage : (
Here goes got another fan still didn't work but know its a good one,
Today I tried this I took the connector off the low pressure AC switch and the fan came on with AC on and turns off when AC off, not tried it to see if fan comes on when car is at the required temp for aux fan to come on,
Also it throws EML on if stood in traffic and set temp for fan to come on is reached! Put scanner on and only comes up with aux fan fault and can't get more info,
Q1 could it just be the AC pressure switch?
Q2 must be a relay somewhere but can't find it?
Q3 anyone had this prob an got it sorted?
Cheers

Re: Aux fan running if!!!!
I had mine checked out by a friend who tried to power up the fan via the diagnostics but no joy so I think the fan is knackered , where abouts is the ac low pressure switch.
Re: Aux fan running if!!!!
Left hand side at the bottom on the thin AC pipe 3 thin wires, disconnect put AC on with engine running and see if comes on !!!
Mine did must be a relay hidden somewhere I think cus I'm sure they are slow an fast running fans,

Cheers I'll go check mine , the fan is variable speed I believe.
Re: Aux fan running if!!!!
I unplugged the low pressure switch while the ac was on and the ac clutch disengaged and the fan twitched and that's all that happened, connected the switch up and the ac pump started again .

Read post #3 above , disconnect it with the ac on and it should work , I've fitted another fan to mine and it's fixed.
