Having trouble getting this to work. Have the gen dongle etc, shows active on the I Pad for the mirrors on locking, but they don't.

No option to close tailgate on key either.

If you hold the unlock button down, all the windows (and sunroof if fitted) open.

thanks i think the best mod for the e70 using the app is folding wing mirrors. When i unlock my car using remote the parking lights and angel eyes come on as well as the interior lights before the doors are opened.

I purchased the app with a 20% discount from itunes i.e. £50 voucher will cost you £40.

To close tailgate u need the auto close tailgate option fitted from the factory. They spec them so that u must press button inside boot to activate the tailgate to close...health and safety risk otherwise

I've coded my F15 for the tailgate to close with the key fob, so I assume it's doable on the E70 although having said that the F15 requires different software I think? I've also managed to code Bluetooth audio streaming which I forgot to tick on the options list - small victories 

There's a chap on www.bimmerfest.com (username is "shawnsheridan") who seems to be very clued up on coding, it was him who sent me the software and instructions on how to code my F15, might be worth a look?

My 15' build mercedes closes on the keyfob?  Just BMW being minge bags no doubt.

Thanks!  I didn't realise you could do this with the E70.  I hadn't tried holding the button down, so I was waiting until the function gets added in a future update to the Carly BMWhat app.  Very useful when I have my hands full, and also another cool feature to show off.

Thats correct the app doesnt currently have any functionality to close tailgate using remote button (confirmed by Parvis).

I think it needs INPA to do that.  There are a whole range of options if you go deep into the code but you do need the right tools to get into everything.

I'm still waiting for my Carly adapter.  How long do they take to come through?

I'm assuming you do have power tailgate as an option otherwise it not going to work.

I must admit the Carly Bmw app is a very user friendly software which allows anyone to code certain options far more quickly than INPA & Nscxpert!

Regarding the instant fold of the mirrors when locking I've not got it to work on my E70 to my surprised some of you guys have succeeded with this simply App,I'm tempted to get one myself!

Just to confirm the posted Elm327 wifi adapter from fleabay is the "working" item you guys are using?
