bmw c110 scanner options

Well guys, been advised to buy a c110 scanner but the 3.0 software version. 

Looking at it, there is a 3.0, a 3.2 and a 3.3 version available.

What are the differences between the 3? and what benefits are the 3.0 over newer versions?

[/quote]I have a V3.0 and it has more functions like real time data info and things like a dpf section.
As far as I know the V3.2 and V3.3 supports some of the later models but you loose some of the functions.
My V3.0 works fine on out E70 3.0d built Oct 07.
So far I have used it to read engine data such as temps, found out glow plug controll unit was u/s,looked to see when it last did a regen and also used it to find out what parking sensor was causing the PDC to shut down.

ok, the dpf is 100% not available on 3.2 or 3.3 yes?

Just emailing a supplier on ebay and he seems to think v3.3 will cover everything including dpf etc? true?

[/quote]I would have a look on BMWLand and do a search on the C110, I am not 100% sure regarding the dpf checking on the later ones but I was recommended to get the V3.0 when I got mine. One of the sellers on eBay is based in Ireland and as far as I know he still had some with V3.0 software on.

Also there has been a few people on BMWLand that have tried to flash later versions back to V3.0 and they obviously did it for a reason.

What is the build date of your car?

I emailed a seller on flee bay and he says all the forums are wrong.......I don't think so.  He got quiet up-tight on his email so I just didn't bother in the end.

i got the c110 3.6 version, what's new with 3.6 and 3.8? except adding newer models
