Re: 2012 35d
Is there anything it doesn't have?
I'd be interested in your feedback of ownership - knowing your love of the E83 from over on BMWLand, I've had (got) various E83's and when I had my E83 35d I took a newer F25 out and didn't find it as engaging, the newer 8 speed box, didn't I think feel as fast or as raw as the E83's 6 speed box.
Having said that, now with an E70 4.0d and the 8 speed box I may go back to the F25 in a different light.
Looking forward to pictures.

) yup - heated rear seats and adaptive cruise.....
Initial thoughts are very good, I know what you mean about engaging I felt the same about the 30d.
The dynamics are really quite soft in comfort mode compared to the E83, even on 20"s. However, when in sport or DS it's transformed and responds in the way I'd hoped it would - sharper and quite involving.
When testing I found the 30d just not 'special' enough. I know it's quieter and more powerful etc, it just didn't inspire me. The 35d has nearly 100bhp more than my old 3.0d and you can really feel it. I've taken to using ECO mode on the commute as in a line of traffic Sport is just overkill.
Dynamics aside, the whole thing feels good, there's more space, the quality is improved and the gadgets are the icing on the cake.
I'll take some pics at the weekend and post them - I wasn't too keen on the 541s to start with but they're growing on me. Let me know what you think from these dealer photos.

Re: 2012 35d
You should buy a set and stick them on your leaf.
Re: 2012 35d
Ranger 6,
Great to read and see of your latest X3.
I am a big fan of the F25 and it's handling albeit the one I put through its paces was only a launch model 2.0d SE
Your positive comments re adjustable suspension particularly interesting.
Being owned by your good self I have no doubt that the vehicle will be used properly and tested in a wide variation of environments and conditions.
The wheels look superb btw.
