Best e53 diag and coding software.

Hi guys.

What would I best be buying to code/diag my car. I see loads of BMW scanner 1.4.0 online but it doesn't look like it works with vista 7 64 bit.

Some links to tried and tested tools would be handy.

Can I turn aux heating timer on from any of these tools.
