Good evening Gents,

What oil does an E53 Diesel like in her Rear / Front Diffs ?

Just been underneath & spotted an input shaft diff seal leak, so I want to wiz some more oil in there while I get around to changing the seal some time.

Front and Rear diff: Fully synthetic 75w90

I used around 2.5L in total, so you will need 3L.

This is the OE oil BMW recommend:

Its a 14mm hex socket for filler and drain plug - not a size normally carried, had to go buy a set especially for this big boy.
