This has been suggested in past but never came to fruition. Most if not near all X5's are daily drivers and not garage queens like many at gaydon - perhaps that's why there has been little real interest in past.

That is the shame. But it is still a family event where you can go a see something and meet other people, I have been there few times and you do not have to have a best looking car.

I have prior contemplated going but have never done so.....I usually read the annual write up in BMW car mag.

I would probably go if it was geographically closer & I didn't work weekends.

I am sure many BMW owners don't even know the event exists.

Maybe it is worth trying this year.
I would be interested and I will be going anyway.

You would need to have chat with BMW club, if we want to have stand there so we display cars.

Hi Greg,

The up-side of a stand, means we are plonked right in the middle of the site & do NOT have parking issues, and are free to wander about at our leisure provided the stand is manned and the vehicles watched.....

I'd bring a pair of drive up ramps, so the two end of stand vehicles can have a front wheel up, and make a clear end to the display vehicles, a pop-up gazebo & a couple of folding tables would be good too maybe ?.

What does this cost ?

I will detail this posting in the E53 general column.

Mail me a PM mail with a fone number to discuss further.

Regards
Grant B

Hi all,

Is this event still happening or has it passed. I have heard Gaydon is one of the better BMW shows that happen throughout the year, and I also think an X5 stand would be a good thing. Car shows to me are like Marmite they either love your car or hate it, but who cares, its your pride and joy so show it off, no matter if it is an everyday runner.

I have done a couple BMW Shows myself but not in my X5, and i can not recall ever seeing an X5 stand at any of the shows but this was some years ago, so i think we or you should make it happen, I would gladly put my old lump on a stand or in a line if needed to make up numbers.

Hi

How many people ended up going to Gaydon?
I went and took my son, only saw about 5 X5 one being mine, lots of M3, was a good day, thought the trade stands were pretty poor
