Bluetooth pairing

Post by kpatel » Sun Apr 26, 2015 12:25 pm

I have had a fully working setup until I had to reset my phone.

Now I cannot pair it as the centre console button does not seem to work. Pressing it does nothing when the car is on whereas the steering wheel button still works fine. Given this, I cannot pair the phone back to the system.

Any thoughts? I have checked the fuses and all seem to be fine.

Get in your car with the blue tooth switched on your phone and is visible to see .

Press the centre console phone button for 3 seconds at the same time as turning ignition on , then on car screen it should come up as blue tooth pairing,  when they have found each other your phone will ask for a four digit pin , enter the pin number which should be in your handbook and it should pair up .

My Mrs just added my phone yesterday  as I couldn't be arsed lol.

That's the problem- it doesn't come up.

Before, when the car was running and you pressed the centre button you would get the beep to speak. This no longer happens. So when I press the button and turn the car on I don't get bluetooth pairing. The button seems dead.

The steering wheel button works fine for getting the beep, and if I say Dial Name says 'please turn on the phone' which makes me think the ULF is working but the button is not working.

Some have found the centre console button connector loose.
May be worth a quick check first??

Thanks - do you know how I access the connector. Has anyone done a guide?

I think you need to get the side panel off possibly??

Do a search non ere as I think someone has posted on it before.

I've not got the pairing button as I retro fitted the ulf and pair with INPA.
