Shame isn't it ?! I remember driving round in my awesome Renault 5 GT Turbo when I was 18 and paying less than a grand insurance . Feel sorry for kids these days....

I paid more than a grand for my first car tpft and it wasn't a GTT

Now I think the RS was about £500 which is the most expensive of my fleet and I'm still younger than you!

im 29 and paying £500 for ml63 and ive a TS postcode!, my van is £280 and ive just picked up a little suzuki jimny and thats £280, the 318d is £200

i had to pay £2500 for a saxo vtr when i was 18 (2003), thats what swapped me to bmw as i got a 328i convertible (envy of all my mates at the time) and that was a mere £1900 age 18

Seat Ibiza 1.4 £1000 18yrs old
Honda Civic type r £1200 19yrs old
Bmw 318is coupe £1000 20yrs old

And those were all as second driver on my old mans insurance. London postcode though
