That is either inaccurate and/or out of date. For example it says you need to carry your MOT certificate - I've had this verified and that is not the case. and that is just one example. But thanks anyway.
I will stick with the AA document I posted earlier

Can anyone tell me if there is a red warning triangle somewhere in a BMW X5 (my previous 3 series had one in the boot but I don't see one in the X5 or it is missing?

Not sure if an MOT certificate is required ( I actually think that it is) but I would take it just to be on the safe side in case you are stopped - not much extra to take anyway ;)

What MOT cert?  I didn't get one for either car last year.

A4 sheet of paper with all car details, mileage, any advisories etc. Always get one for all the cars in my family.

I previously had a 3 series that had a triangle in the boot. Does an E53 2004 3.0D Auto have the same - don't recall seeing one

Left side of the boot on my E53, in the cubby.  Red or yellow plastic box.

Some were also in a blue container stored in clips vertically just to the rear of the Satnav/cd player rack.

If I remember correctly, mine was just above the rack but behind the cubby trim cover.

I've never worried about the beam deflectors but apart from that I'd agree with the rest of the lists above.

Hi Guys,

We are going to France in 2 days via eurotunnel This thread comes in handy. I have not been out there since they dropped the french franc!

I have a couple  questions :-

1) Light conversion - Does the E53 (2008) need a sticker for the headlights or it has a lever that can be flipped?
2) Insurance - Is there a combined travel + car + breakdown cover insurance ? or I need to get them separately?
3) Toll gate costs -Is there a prepayment process or I have to have my Euros in hand?

cheers
