Steering wheel trim removal.?

Post by Nine468 » Wed Mar 25, 2015 11:41 pm

How do I go about removing the trim that surrounds the switches on my steering wheel.
The trim has got some slight damage, ie the thin plastic covering is starting to come away in places and looks scruffy, and I want to replace it, But I don't know how it comes apart...
Anybody done this job.?
Ta.

I did mine on the E53, is the E70 wheel the same as the E90 or E60, as there is how to do vids on YouTube
When I did mine on the E53 I found the instructions on the forum. I had to remove the airbag, so You have to disconect the battery or the airbag fuse first.
Looked miles better after I fitted a new one. I purchased from a BMW dealer Via EBay.
