Is the 70mpg figure 'real world' or claimed? It's good but given the notorious EU test, it might be nearer 50. A lot better than 22, and that VED figure is hard to argue against....

Hi Richard, yes its claimed, so real world closer to 50 I would say. Still good. First years VED is free too.

Regarding the screen, that interior is waay nicer than any of BMW's current offerings, even with the stuck on screen ( I happen to love ). The ambient lighting looks brilliant, the whole package works for me with the premium plus kit, and AMG spec, it makes the car a very pleasant place to be.

Bored of 22mpg and £500 a year road tax if honest. Plus added expensive bills of bits going wrong, Mercedes here I come.

I will miss the X5, but not for long probably [emoji1]

I'm not criticising; I just find the 220 & 250 (both of which I have driven for lengthy periods)... unrefined & somewhat unpolished for a premium brand. I don't really get on with 4 pot diesels & much prefer the smoothness of the V6 tbh. I've yet to drive the W205 C350 as I can't find one to test. My W212 E Class E350 went yesterday after only three months, which I didn't get on with at all. I'm hoping the W205 C350 will be different or at least surpass the excellent W204 C350 I had a few years back. Agree re BMW being naff at present.

I'm intrigued by the C63 but having just done a week in a wet Scotland, I can't think of a better car I would have rather gone in.

Want to overtake, put your foot down and go off like a scalded cat. No traction issues at all. Only issue has been the number of fuel receipts shoved in my glovebox....
