So I've been a little quiet on the mods front. But after a couple of months of waiting I finally got my hands on this:

An Akrapovic SS Evolution exhaust system.

Akrapovic are synonymous with quality and sound in the exhaust world. They've built a huge reputation for producing some of the best looking systems and are standard on quite a number of very high end manufacturer cars. They predominantly produce titanium exhaust systems but are stupidly expensive. But for the 335i application they do a stainless steel variant but it's still over £2k for this evolution system which is from the DP's back.

I got it for way less luckily.

Once I got it I had to get it fitted asap. I'd been looking to do something with mine as I've got the AR catted DP's and Eisenmann rear boxes but standard centre section with the secondary cats (which is a little restrictive).

So a trip Midland VW in Cannock to go from this:

Eisenmann Rear

Standard centre section

AR Cats:

To:

Straight through 2.5" piping

Single rear centre box with some huge titanium tips

Straight away on start up she sounds so much more purposeful. Certainly know it's no way stock now lol. Also due to it being so much lighter and so less restrictive, the car feels so much more responsive. The turbos feel like they spool up a little quicker as she pulls with more eagerness than before.

I weighed the back box for the Akra and then the Eisenmann twin boxes and the Akra is about 7.4kg lighter. Then there's the saving from the centre section too.

Proper pleased....:D

And how are you going to pass the MOT?  No cats means automatic fail.

Don't have a YouTube account lol and for some reason won't load into photobucket.

I'll sort one somehow though.

Only you would see that in his comment. I think it's a personal psychological issue perhaps with your own over-sized appearance  :P
