How did you find one with so low mileage ? I have been looking for ages but only moon and back mileage cars turn up !

Re: Titanium Silver 40d
Thanks for the comments. I only really started looking a couple of weeks before I bought this one, just missed out on a supremely specced 12 plate silver 40d at Eastern BMW at a decent price but which had 35,000 on the clock. Too slow to do the deal and someone beat me to it.
This one came up on the AUC site as coming soon and it was bought by the end of that week. It wasn't a bad deal, couldn't get them to shift much on the price but got the new 21" wheels and tyres and a two year AUC warranty. The car is in superb condition, it looks as if it's hardly been driven, 20,000 miles in 4 years is nothing really. The service book shows it was prepared at Thorne which means it was a BMW UK car I believe and then one other owner described as fastidious about his cars.
Delighted with it so far, big step up in performance and handling from the E53 it replaced. Still had a tear in my eye when it was driven away by the new owner today though, we really had good use and enjoyment out of that car in the three years we had it.

Re: Titanium Silver 40d
How are you finding the ride on the 21" ? I too have an E53 had it for 10 years , it is like one of the family but need a seven seater , 40d will have a look on the auc site thanks !
Re: Titanium Silver 40d
The ride is pretty harsh on the 21s to be honest and I did anticipate that when I was offered them. I'm used to it from driving a Z4M regularly but it wouldn't be for everyone. It grips very well on the 325 and 285 width tyres though and I'm finding that I can carry a decent amount of speed into corners. I'm debating whether to stick with them for my winters or to drop to 20s when the time comes. And yes, I know that narrower, taller tyres would be better in snow.
